14. What do you do to vent anger? Drink.. no, umm walk and talk.. walk and talk
15. What was your favorite toy as a child? Not really a toy, but Bert, the beagle.. to this day
16. What is your favorite, fall or spring? Hard question; fall because it's gorgeous and football games, but winter is coming. So spring, because its gorgeous and summer is coming! :)

21. When was the last time you cried? Last weekend, with Pavia.. later turns out I had a fever of 101, so that explains a lot
22. What is on the floor of your closet? umm, everything that should be hung up? Shoes and laundry basket
23. What did you do last night? Dinner and drinking with Katie and John
24. What inspires you? People that have it together, or make it look like they do :)
25. What are you afraid of? The dark.. and spiders. I hate spiders

27. Favorite breed of dog? Brittany Spaniels.. grew up with them, can't help but love them

Bless her heart, my new teacher, but I'm going crazy. She is just so different from what we've been doing all year. The kids are great, but I see myself totally checking out. She's just SUCH a kindergarten teacher, but not a FUN kindergarten teacher. Everything is so by the book and I feel like nothing we have done this year is by the book and it's been awesome. I honestly didn't think I would say it, not even a week in, but the transition was so long and that's what was so hard, and I really miss Carrie...

BUT

2 weeks and I will be old. I'm certainly not the first of my friends to turn 25, but it doesn't matter when it comes to you whether you're first or not. It still seems very old, and yet I don't feel old enough to be that age. Really now... I know people my age that have been married for 2 years, have a kid or are about to have one. They own a house, bought a new car, have a dog, or two.

All my friends are getting married.....

....and i'm just getting drunk. Sad, but amazingly true. Two of my dearest are getting married this spring/summer, and my senior year roommate from college just got engaged. It makes me chuckle, because I honestly don't think I could be further from getting married. Sometimes it scares me as I am facebook stalking and I find wedding pictures and now BABY pictures. Just almost seems wrong. But hey, I'm just perfecting being single ;-)

I Do Apologize....

2008. Year of the Ocho as my friends like to call it. I can't believe it is already mid-January. It was rung in with a wonderful trip to Atlantic Beach; an outer bank off of Wilmington. There are many pictures on facebook so I won't go into detail. Good times were had by all.

I will have a new teacher in my classroom soon. Carrie will be leaving to take a part time position as a magnet coordinator (still at Washington though!) and Theresa Ash will be coming in. Everyone has said how wonderful and nice she is, so we shall see how much of a change this will have on me and the kids. Though at times I've found it to be a pain, beyond exhausting and frustrating, Carrie has pretty much gone MIA in the classroom. I have been left alone pretty much everyday since we've been back. I have taken advantage instead of being pissed, and have turned it around and not only have I noticed, but the kids, and other teachers have noticed a change in me and the kids. It's been wonderful. As Carrie has said, this will be good for they have become all but solely dependent on me, and sadly (for her) may not be all too upset when she is gone for good. I'm just ready for some stability.

Merah: just for you, I'll be updating my musical selections tomorrow.... and I do apologize for not having written in a long time. Sadly it seems the last thing I want to do when I get home from school is sit in front of a computer. But for you, I had to :)

Anyone have any good CHEAP local suggestions for me to do on my 4 day weekend this weekend?!?!?!!?!?!!
